● About

For Tombs, that we love

All funds raised go to the restoration of New Orleans’ historic tombs. There is no overhead, no rent, no salaries, just tomb renovation and beautification. You can take pride in knowing that your complete donation goes directly to the preservation of some of New Orleans’ most unique and important architecture and art.

We work with the lead preservationists in New Orleans who are masters and stewards in their fields.

● Our Story

From Sally, with Love

President Sally Asher is a New Orleans–based photographer and award-winning writer whose work has appeared in such publications as Newsweek, The New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, Preservation in Print, and New Orleans Magazine. She owns and operates her own tour company, Red Sash Tours, which specializes in authentic cultural New Orleans tours and has a podcast called Eat, Drink & Be Buried about the city’s customs, cultures, and curiosities. Asher is a former president of Save Our Cemeteries and former board member of Preservation Resource Center.

She is a proud member of the Crescent City Odd Fellows #73, serves on the Jazz Museum Gala Committee, and is involved in many Mardi Gras krewes. Asher lectures about New Orleans’s history through various museums and cultural institutes and holds two master’s degrees from Tulane University.

When she’s not writing, researching, or sharing her love of New Orleans history, Asher enjoys spending time with her family and friends, eating and drinking at as many local restaurants and bars as she can, dancing to brass band music, making quilts for her loved ones, and walking along the bayou with her two amazing dogs Huckleberry and Zuzu. Her upcoming book Flaming Hearts, Weeping Angels: Secrets & Symbolism in New Orleans Cemeteries will be out in the fall of 2026.
